DauphineDreams: Writings About the Travels of Life

In 2005, I created this blog as a real time journal of my post-Katrina experience and have continued it to this day. The mini-essays, observations and little bits of "flash nonfiction" published here now span several continents and almost a decade of my life. I hope you enjoy them! There is life after Katrina! And what a life it is. It has been almost four years since I last posted. But a new business and a new outlook on life has prompted me to pick up the blogging pen again. Welcome, welcome and thanks Blogspot for keeping this blogsite active for so long.

Since my last post, I have (1) camped out on raw land on the Big Island of Hawaii (2) snorkeled with sea turtles (3) helped my family in crisis after my cousins death (4) gotten a divorce (5) fallen in love (6) broken up again (7) started a book (8) traveled in Mexico (9) moved to Taos, NM (where I am now living) (10) been adopted by an angel cat (11) started my own business: www.playfulpenwriting.com and... (12) begun work on reactivating the amazing complex series of waterways (called acequias, and the smaller ones linderos) on the magical property I am caretaking in the river valley near Taos.

Not bad for a former evacuee!

We are all stars, shooting out into space,
The universe
Universal mind
Spits us out
And there we go
Flying, flying, flying

And Landing.

Where do we land?
The trajectory is entirely up to us.

So long for now and many blessings,

Lyn-Li Torres Pugh (formerly Nicole L. Pugh )
